LeBron Teased a Change To His Jersey Number on Twitter, Fans Think It’s a Hint That the Lakers Will Sign Kawhi Leonard

The Los Angeles Lakers managed to reach an agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans. They got Anthony Davis, and this was the first move in the NBA offseason. Team owner Jeanie Buss and Rob Pelinka traded away young players and picks in order to add Davis to the roster. The team made a few moves in a few hours on Thursday, and this gives them a chance to sign another All Star. There were so many changes within the roster, and LeBron even gave up on his jersey number.

That’s right. LeBron gave Davis his No. 23 right after Davis gave up his $4 million trade bonus. Fans went crazy, and suggested that these two things were connected.

LeBron was the first to start off the avalanche. His cryptic tweet late Thursday triggered a bunch of conspiracy theories. A six and prayer-hands emoji.

Some say this has something to do with LeBron’s new jersey number. LeBron gave up on his old number, and will probably go with No. 6.

However, there were also fans who said that LeBron is actually trying to say that Kawhi Leonard will join him and Davis in Los Angeles.

Leonard won his title with the Toronto Raptors, a city known as “The Six.” Drake, the Raptors’ superfan, made this name popular.

LeBron’s prayer-hands emoji evokes an image the rapper has used throughout his professional career. He had it on record covers and turned it into a tattoo on his forearm.

“Bron goin back to number 6 cause they call him the 6god. Kawhi just won a championship for the 6. Lebron waited until AD waived his trade kicker to give him number 23 so he can wear 6. Kawhi is coming to the Lakers.”

“So Lou Will trash talked Toronto/THE COUNTRY of Canada to recruit Kawhi. LeBron cryptically switched back to #6 to get Kawhi from the 6. Nothing these guys do is low anymore lol.”

LeBron was probably making a joke, that’s all. This doesn’t change the fact that the Lakers will need to add another All-Star. Let’s see what happens next. Game on!
