Patriots Release Good News On OT Isaiah Wynn’s Injury

The New England Patriots will have to move on from Trent Brown, and Isaiah Wynn will be more than necessary in the upcoming season. It turns out that the second-year offensive lineman will get ready for the Patriots training camp.

“Left tackle Isaiah Wynn is expected to be ready for training camp,” Howe wrote. “He has been running at full speed, which is always an important benchmark for a player following an Achilles tear.”

This is actually good news for Wynn. We saw him on the field during the mandatory minicamp earlier this month. Wynn worked out at guard and wasn’t at his usual tackle position. Joe Thuney jumped in to fill the empty spot.

This report suggests that Wynn will be physically back from the torn Achilles tendon that kept him away from the field during his entire season. He played in the second preseason game and that was all. Wynn had a full year to recover from his injury, and he may be on track to move up from injured reserve to the left tackle spot. However, he will have to work really hard in training camp and preseason, and the Patriots will need to see more of him. Wynn will have to show the potential he had at the NFL Draft.

Wynn was a highly rated offensive lineman coming out of college. He struggled with size concerns and draft pundits projected him as a guard. The Patriots selected him in the first round of the draft and lined him up for a role at tackle before he suffered an injury. Brown cemented himself as left tackle in 2018.

Brown left the team in free agency, and the Patriots have a hole on the left side. Given his first-round draft status, Wynn is the perfect candidate for the Patriots. This injury update is of great importance for the Patriots and Wynn’s teammates.

The Patriots are getting ready for the big season, and they will sure go after another Super Bowl win.The team will enter the upcoming season without some of the players they had last season. But, they built a strong roster.
