Rob Gronkowski Crashes Luke Bryan Concert At Gillette Stadium

Luke Bryan sure knows how to get the crowd on fire, and made his fourth show at Gillette Stadium.

Bryan’s “Sunset Repeat Tour” show was a Friday night party from start to finish for the crowd who came to enjoy country music and celebrate the first day of summer. This was also the official start of Gillette Stadium’s 2019 Concert Series.

The surprise of the evening came when now-retired tight end Rob Gronkowski appeared on the concert. It was hilarious.

Bryan was wearing a Patriots jersey. He told the crowd there was “someone who wanted to come out and say hello.” That’s when Gronk jumped in. Bryan sent the tight end on a fade route down the stage, and actually overthrew him. There was a second attempt, and Bryan completed it.

“I can now say I completed a pass to Gronk in Gillette Stadium,” Bryan said. “How cool is that?”

There’s an ongoing discussion regarding Gronk’s return to the field. His public appearances only add fuel to the fire.

“This is me speculating,” Gronk’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said. “This is nothing that Rob and I talked about specifically. I don’t want to get anybody’s hopes up. Rob Gronkowski is retired and it’s unlikely that he will ever play football again. however, I did close my conversation with Rob yesterday when he called to tell me he was going to retire, and I said, ‘Rob, just keep in mind that if you ever have a change of heart, you can come back and play. I’m sure the Patriots would welcome you with open arms. If it’s sometime during the season. if it’s late in the year. if you feel good and want to come back and play, we’ll make it happen.’ That’s all. It was just a suggestion. I couldn’t let go without leaving that in Rob’s ear.

“Hey listen, Jason Witten did it. Witten another Hall of Fame tight end. he took the year off and decided to come back. Rob is 29 years old. He’s still a very young man. It wouldn’t shock me if he has a change of heart, if he feels great and he decides that he wants to play football. But this is just me talking. This isn’t Rob. And I don’t want to create any unnecessary expectations. Rob is a very unique personality. If the team was struggling or they needed him at some point next year, and let’s just say hypothetically Tom Brady gave him a call and said ‘Rob, I need you,’ I wouldn’t be shocked if he came back to play a few games.”
