Steph Curry Will Reportedly Join Bob Myers in New York in Order to Convince Kevin Durant to Stay

The NBA free agent bidding war will start tomorrow and Kevin Durant’s next move is something everyone is interested in. Durant sure knows how to make people talk. Fans have been speculating for a few months now. Things got really hot when Durant declined his player option. So, what will happen next? Warriors General Manager Bob Myers will have to take care of the problem, and Steph Curry will give him a hand.

It turns out that Myers will bring Curry to the meeting with Durant. Curry is on his way back from Under Armour Basketball’s tour of China. He will meet with Durant and Myers in New York where Durant is recovering from the surgery he had to repair his ruptured Achilles tendon.

Curry was well aware of the criticism his team faced because of Durant.

“I feel like for the last three years, everybody has taken their shots at trying to nitpick or break us down or drive a wedge in our team chemistry or our togetherness or whatever the case is,” Curry said of the criticism. “And even this year, it’s been amplified even more with (Durant’s) free-agency stuff. Nobody can say anything without it getting scrutinized or criticized. Nobody can be happy when people are playing well. That’s the part, to me, that’s most surprising. If it’s KD playing well, it’s ‘Oh, they’re playing a different style and it’s not as fun to watch.’ Or when he’s out and we’re winning games, ‘Are we better or more fun,’ whatever the question is, you hear it all the time.

“We are one group, until we’re not,” Curry said. “I don’t think we’re going to let any noise around us – as frustrating or entertaining or whatever you want to call it is on a daily basis – break us down in terms of distracting us from what the goal is.”

It looks like Curry will be able to make Durant change his mind. He likes Durant’s game, and seeing him walk out the door is a bad scenario. There’s a good chance that Myers brings Durant back. Hopefully. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.
