Warriors’ Kevin Durant Gives Update After Undergoing Surgery

Warriors star Kevin Durant re-injured his right leg in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He ruptured his right Achilles tendon in the game against the Toronto Raptors, and had a surgery to fix it.

Durant took to Instagram to share a photo of himself, and provided an update on his condition. This injury can change his career for good.

“What’s good everybody I wanted to update you all: I did rupture my Achilles. Surgery was today and it was a success, EASY MONEY. My road back starts now! I got my family and my loved ones by my side and we truly appreciate all the messages and support people have sent our way.

“Like I said Monday, I’m hurting deeply, but I’m OK. Basketball is my biggest love and I wanted to be out there that night because that’s what I do. I wanted to help my teammates on our quest for the three peat. Its just the way things go in this game and I’m proud that I gave it all I physically could, and I’m proud my brothers got the W. It’s going to be a journey but I’m built for this. I’m a hooper. I know my brothers can get this Game 6, and I will be cheering  with dub nation while they do it.”

Durant left Game 5 in the second quarter after landing badly on his right leg. He was taken to the locker room and left Scotiabank Arena on crutches with a walking boot. The Warriors announced that their star player suffered an Achilles injury, but didn’t provide more information on his diagnosis. There was no update on Durant’s injury since Monday night.

Durant has already suffered an injury in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Raptors fans cheered on Durant’s injury. It was a terrible move, and Warriors players condemned the incident. Durant’s mom made a statement and called out everyone who criticized her son and his game. Wanda was shocked to see all the people who were happy about her son’s injury. Hopefully, this incident won’t happen again. Game on, players!
