Klay Thompson Posts Hilarious ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Clip After Re-Signing With Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are re-signing Klay Tompson with a five-year contract worth $190 million. This is great news for Warriors fans, but let’s just say that everyone could predict Thompson’s move. It was more than obvious that he’d stay with his team. Thompson took to his Instagram account and posted an amazing “Wolf of Wall Street” clip to express his excitement.

“I’m not leaving. I’m not leaving. I’m not f***ing leaving, the show goes on,” says actor Leonado DiCaprio in the clip from the 2013 film based on the story of scuzzy businessman Jordan Belfort. “They’re going to need a f***ing wrecking ball to take me out of here.”

This is amazing! Thompson is staying. He will re-join a team that has already lost Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala, but that doesn’t mind, because Thompson is happy with the team.

Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle also confirmed that Thompson and the Golden State reached an agreement regarding his deal.

“Guard Klay Thompson has agreed to sign a five-year maximum contract with the Warriors worth $190 million, league sources have confirmed with The Chronicle.

“Before free agency opened Sunday, the Warriors offered Thompson the max. Thompson, not surprisingly, accepted on the spot.

“Thompson has long voiced his desire to stick with Golden State long-term. Even after the shooting guard suffered an ACL injury in Game 6 of the NBA Finals that could sideline him for most – if not all – of next season, the Warriors had no hesitation about offering him a max contract.”

Warriors General Manager Bob Myers promised to do his best to keep Durant and Thompson on the roster. It didn’t work with Durant.

“All I’ll say is that those guys are highly important to us and deserving of being rewarded in the right manner,” Myers told reporters. “It’s hard to find high-quality people, and both of them are that. And so you just—try to keep those guys within these walls the best you can.”

Thompson is the second best player on the team, and he and Curry will have the backcourt. Good luck!
