LeBron James’ Passing Highlight Reel Proves Lakers Made Right Call Moving Him to Point Guard (Video)

The Los Angeles Lakers decided to move LeBron James to the starting point guard position, and it seems like this was the best decision the team has ever made.

We aren’t really surprised to see LeBron take this position. He has been a point-forward his entire professional career, and the Lakers made a good choice

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports was the first to report that the Lakers will start LeBron James at point guard. This decision may come as a result of the expenses the team had this offseason. The Lakers got a lot of wings and big men.

“The new-look Los Angeles Lakers are heading into the 2019-20 season with the intention of starting LeBron James at point guard, league sources told Yahoo Sports,” Haynes reported.

“James, 34, will be entering his 17th NBA season and is prepared to become the floor general in an effort to maximize a roster that’s suddenly built to contend for a championship with the addition of All-Star forward Anthony Davis and a few complementary pieces.

“James, a four-time league MVP, and newly acquired Danny Green are expected to start in the backcourt, sources said.

“James was limited to a career-low 55 games in his first season with the Lakers because of a groin injury, but he has since recovered and is in great shape with no restrictions, sources said. A superstar with an immense skill set, the 6-foot-8 James has started at the point sparingly throughout his career. But it’s a role he’s more than comfortable handling because he’s operated primarily as a point-forward for the bulk of his career.

“Rajon Rondo, Quinn Cook and Alex Caruso are the other point guards on the roster. Lonzo Ball, who was traded to New Orleans, and Rondo handled the role last season. With the league being so point-guard driven, head coach Frank Vogel will look to unleash another element of James’ game.”

LeBron has an incredible power, and Anthony Davis is here to give him a hand. The Lakers got a bunch of awesome players, and their roster seems pretty strong. Are they ready for the 2019-20 season?
