James is ready for some action, and he even put his headband back on. We all
know what that means. Say ‘hi’ to Bruce Lee-Bron.
star decided to bring back some South Beach flavor to the upcoming season with
the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron and Anthony Davis are determined to return the
historic team to glory.
LeBron handed over his No.23 Lakers jersey to Anthony Davis. He will sport the No. 6 jersey as he did during his tenure with the Miami Heat and during all of his service for USA Basketball. However, LeBron also teased that he may bring back the headband that was part of his professional career for the first decade. There’s a twist though.
Kid headband is really popular with NBA players, and the whole thing started
when Nike took over the NBA’s apparel contract. Jarrett Allen, Jimmy Butler,
Kyrie Irving and many others gave it a try.
seen LeBron wear a headband for quite some time. Well, he wears No. 6 now, and
we believe that this headband was the perfect addition.
LeBron will also get a new role on the floor. Chris Haynes from Yahoo Sports reported that he will be a starter point guard this season.
new-look Los Angeles Lakers are heading into the 2019-20 season with the
intention of starting LeBron James at point guard, league sources told Yahoo
Sports,” Haynes wrote.
“James, 34, will be entering his 17th NBA season and is
prepared to become the floor general in an effort to maximize a roster that’s
suddenly built to contend for a championship with the addition of All-Star
forward Anthony Davis and a few complementary pieces.
“James, a four-time league MVP, and newly acquired Danny
Green are expected to start in the backcourt, sources said.
“James was limited to a career-low 55 games in his first
season with the Lakers because of a groin injury, but he has since recovered
and is in great shape with no restrictions, sources said. A superstar with an
immense skill set, the 6-foot-8 James has started at the point sparingly
throughout his career. But it’s a role he’s more than comfortable handling
because he’s operated primarily as a point-forward for the bulk of his career.
“Rajon Rondo, Quinn Cook and Alex Caruso are the other point
guards on the roster. Lonzo Ball, who was traded to New Orleans, and Rondo
handled the role last season. With the league being so point-guard driven, head
coach Frank Vogel will look to unleash another element of James’ game.”
