Steve Kerr Calls Out Congress for Not Standing up to President Trump After Controversial Tweets

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr always talks about topics that attract his attention. We’ve seen him address issues like politics, gun control and many others. Yes, Kerr is one of the most outspoken coaches in the league.

The Warriors head coach couldn’t stay calm after President Donald Trump posted series of racist tweets. Kerr spoke out on social media, and made headlines with his comments.

President Trump criticized a group of four minority freshman congresswomen, noting that they should “go back” to the countries they came from.

“So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly……

.”…and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how….

“…it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

“Come on members of Congress, call out the president for his racist tweets this morning,” Kerr responded. “Show some leadership. It’s the job you were elected to do.”

This isn’t the first time Kerr spoke his mind, and he will keep doing that whenever feels like discussing important topics.

“Kerr often uses his platform as an NBA coach to speak out about issues that are important to him” Ryan Young from Yahoo Sports wrote. “During the NBA Finals last season, Kerr even wore an orange and purple ‘Vote For Our Lives’ T-shirt to urge Americans to vote for leaders who will help create change regarding gun control, an issue the 53-year-old has long been passionate about.

“The fallout from Trump’s tweets isn’t likely to die down anytime soon. As that continues, it’s almost certain that Kerr — along with countless others in the sports world — will be paying close attention.”
