Klay Thompson Is Rehabbing His ACL Injury With His ‘Loyal’ Dog

Golden State Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson is on a rehab therapy, and he is doing really great. The Warrior isn’t alone in the process, and he’s got some help from his “loyal” dog Rocco.

Rehabs are long and boring, but Thompson doesn’t have any problem with that, because Rocco is always by his side.

Thompson will probably miss most of the 2019-20 season as he is set to follow a standard recovery time for an ACL injury which is 5-7 months. The Warriors won’t try really hard to push Thompson back to the court. The franchise offered him a max contract worth $190 million.

When it comes to Rocco, we all know that he is Thompson’s best friend. We believe that the pup will take a good care of Thompson throughout his rehab.

In 2018, the superstar averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Warriors. The five-time All-Star shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.

In the 2019 playoffs, he had 20.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The Golden State Warriors lost to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in six games.

The Warriors will open their season without Thompson, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and a few other players. Durant’s departure was a big blow, because many expected to see him alongside Stephen Curry. Well, Durant made a choice, and joined the Brooklyn Nets.

The franchise signed All-Star point guard D’Angelo Russell from the Nets in the sign-and-trade deal for Kevin Durant. Thompson will be out of the game next season, and Russell is expected to help Curry lead the Warriors offense.

Curry isn’t going anywhere. He is happy with the team, and never misses an opportunity to show that. Curry shared a photo of the “Old Curry,” using the FaceApp Old Age Filter. What’s the point of this? He’s a Warrior for life. We believe that Thompson would say the same thing. The Warriors were his only option this summer. He didn’t even think of leaving the team.
