Report: Patriots Coaching Staff Changes Become Official

We finally have a sense of how the New England Patriots’ 2019 coaching staff will look. On the eve of training camp, Patriots officially announced their new-look coaching staff.

Although most of the staff change was revealed months ago, Tuesday’s announcement unveils new details. There are only a handful of changes when comparing the new list to the one reported in May. The team also unveiled its annual media guide, featuring a full list of the new-look coaching staff. Let’s take a look at it.

Joe Kim, who came aboard a “pass rush consultant” last season, earned the title of “director of skill development.”

Cole Popovich, who previously worked under Dante Scarnecchia coaching the offensive line, was promoted to assistant running backs coach. He’ll work alongside Ivan Fears, who’s entering his 23rd season as a Patriots assistant.

Bob Fraser will keep its role as Patriots coaching assistant. He will work alongside with Former Youngstown State offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo and Brian Belichick.

Greg Schiano’s sudden departure left the team without a defensive coordinator, but Bill Belichick himself appears to be the leading candidate to fill the gap.
