Gronkowski ‘Can’t Really Say’ How He’ll Feel When NFL Season Starts

Rob Gronkowski is having a lot of fun, and it seems like he is happy with his retirement. How will Gronk feel at the beginning of the NFL season?

The retired tight end went on the “Rich Eisen Show” on Wednesday, and talked about his retirement and all the things he’s been up to these days.

“There’s definitely going to be times when you miss it and everything,” Gronkowski told Eisen. “I would always say that it’s still the offseason right now. I mean I can’t really say how I’m going to feel about it when the games start rolling around and everything. You know, I just felt like it was time. I feel really good right now and it was just definitely something I thought it was the right time and the right thing to do.”

Is Gronk happy with his decision? He better be, because he has “never had an August off in his life.”

“You want to know something? I never had an August off in my life. So, it’s gonna be a little different,” the former tight end said. “That’s when it’s gonna start really seeing the change is when that comes around in August when I’m not in training camp; I might not know what to do with myself.

“To have that load off your back, I mean I’ve been playing football for 15 years straight in a row of that grind. Just relaxing right now feels good.”

Gronk may join his former teammates on September 8 when the Patriots open their season. He is definitely coming for the Super Bowl.

Gronk’s girlfriend, Camille Kostek, says that her boyfriend won’t come back.

“I think he is messing with everybody, then again he stumps me all the time so who knows?” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019 cover girl said. “He could be pulling this out of the woodwork at some time. I would love to see him out there, but I am also respecting him taking this time for himself, healing up his body, and enjoying the time off.

“It’s been a fun time already, and I think one of my favorite things that he ever said was he was excited to take a back seat and check out the things that I was up to, like I have for him sitting back in the stands.”
