Kawhi Leonard Remaining Stone-Faced as He Was Heckled by Lakers Fans Couldn’t Be More Perfect (Video)

Kawhi Leonard surprised Raptors fans in the most unexpected way ever. Fans were disappointed to learn that Leonard is going home. The city did the impossible to make Leonard stay. Well, Toronto survived his departure, and fans are grateful for everything Leonard did for the city. He helped the Raptors win their first title. Yes, some of them are still disappointed, but most of them still celebrate the big win.

We can’t say that for Los Angeles Lakers fans. They have a lot of resentment towards Leonard for signing with the Clippers. A die-hard fan heckled Leonard during the Pacquiao-Thurman fight on Saturday night.

Leonard left the event with his girlfriend, and had no impression on his face. The fan even called him “the most overrated player in the history of professional sports.” Ouch. That hurts.

Some fans didn’t excuse this approach, and even condemned the fan.

“Imagine being so lame that you can’t let a dude live and mess with him when he’s out with his girl because you’re scared the Clippers might have an edge,” a Twitter user wrote.

“If this was the pre-Clippers era, I’d feel bad for Kawhi. But now, let the heckling rain down on him 24/7,” another added.

“Never forget, HE CHOSE THIS over being treated like a god in Canada for the rest of his life.”

Leonard wore his Spurs championship ring at the fight, and spent some time with legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

He turned down the offers from the Lakers and Raptors. Everyone was following his moves, and most people thought that Kawhi will sign with the Lakers. Well, he didn’t. He decided to come to Los Angeles and join the Clippers.

“I’ve heard complaints in the days after the signing. I heard complaints from the Lakers that they got played,” ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said on his podcast. “I heard complaints from the Raptors that Kawhi came in and asked for the sun, the moon, the stars then left them at the altar.”

Let’s hope that this anger will be brought to an end. Leonard made a choice, and fans should respect that.
