Klay Thompson is Playing With Warriors Fans’ Hearts With His Instagram Story

Klay Thompson might actually get some rest from rehab and enjoy vacation this summer. The Golden State Warriors swingman was captured in an Instagram story jumping onto a private jet with fishing rods.

But he wasn’t done having fun – later in the Instagram story, Thompson was dancing with a bottle in-hand. Then, he shared a video of an idyllic, watery destination.

He wrote: “Wake boarding in my quicksilvers!!”

He was supposed to undergo an ACL repair surgery during the end of June. But that’s not stopping him. He isn’t wearing a knee brace and apparently has no problems enjoying the dance. But talking about wake boarding? That’s a bit much.

We guess it was a joke, hence the crying-laughing emoji next to his message. It’s probably just a paid promotion for Quicksilver.

Still, he’s got Warriors fans worried.

Thompson signed an $190 million contract extension despite suffering the ACL injury in the NBA Finals loss to the Toronto Raptors this June.

The two-time All-NBA selection averaged 26 points per game in the Finals against the Raptors, while shooting over 58 percent from beyond the arc.

All season, the prevailing sentiment has been that Thompson plans to stay with the Warriors long-term if they offer him a max contract. His father, Mychal Thompson has made it clear that Klay wants to be in Golden State; coach Steve Kerr also stated that the organization wants him back; and Andrew Bogut revealed that Thompson has never said anything “about wanting to leave here.”

While it’s possible that Klay Thompson misses the entire 2019-20 campaign, we wouldn’t be surprised if he dominates his rehab and returns sooner than usual. He is one tough nut and this latest Instagram post is just one of the many evidence of that.
