Kyle Kuzma Reacts to Jason Whitlock Criticizing LeBron James’ Behavior at Bronny’s Games

FS1’s Jason Whitlock joined the desperate group of people who had nothing better to do than criticize LeBron James regarding his son’s basketball game. He decided to share his thoughts during Monday’s show closing. LeBron’s teammate Kyle Kuzma was not happy with that.

The controversial sports show voice trashed James for showing out during his son Bronny’s AAU games. Whitlock compared James to other “superdads” like LaVar Ball and even Marv Marinovich, who were heavily involved in their sons’ careers. He said:

“LeBron is making a spectacle of himself – a circus of his son’s early playing days and using his son’s games as yet another platform to build the LeBron social media brand. It’s inappropriate. It points to how much fame has inevitably changed LeBron over the last decade. Fame is a drug more potent and dangerous than cocaine.”

While LeBron’s actions certainly wasn’t in the ‘down low’ area, it’s part of what brings huge crowds to these sporting events. And most importantly, the kids love it.

Not only is James there for the whole game and supports the team, but he also joins in for some fun, and while that could be getting old for Bronny, that’s just the price of having a superstar dad. After all, Bronny has also benefited from that superstardom, with countless viral videos of his first-ever dunk and clips that highlight his skills from a very young age.

Jason Whitlock is completely entitled to his own opinion, but his comments and comparisons just lack any substance. Unlike LaVar Ball and Marv Marinovich, LeBron is still in top shape and has no need to ‘live vicariously’ through his son.

James isn’t using Bronny’s career to make himself relevant after missing out on the playoffs, he’s simply being the dad many kids would love to have and others should look up to.
