LeBron James Shares Legendary Photo Of Himself As A Kid

LeBron James is more than a basketball star. He is the kid from Akron who showed everyone that hard work and talent can take you to the top. LeBron never misses an opportunity to show everyone that he worked really hard to get there.

This time the king of basketball posted another picture of the kid from Akron. It was an emotional message for everybody who followed LeBron on his way to the throne.

“Akron is home,” LeBron said in 2016. “I see my friends and family in the crowd. I thank you!”

“The Cleveland drought from the last championship was 50-some odd years ago. Guess what? It took a kid from Akron to end it.” Well, we couldn’t agree more. The kid from Akron helped the Cavaliers win their title, and the city will never forget that.

Dru Joyce Jr. began coaching LeBron at the age of 10 and now is the basketball coach at his high school. He described LeBron’s commitment to hard work as a kid. In all his years of coaching LeBron, Joyce said, he missed a single practice. The coach also praised LeBron’s tenacity and determination, and talked about his devotion to his mother, friends and Akron.

“I’m just hoping his example will live on in your hearts,” LeBron’s coach said.

The Kid from Akron was presented with the 2015 Peter Burg Award recipient, and he used the moment to share his story and thank everyone for their support.

“You guys have seen me grow from an eight-year-old kid who first played basketball, to a 15-year-old kid on the cover of Sports Illustrated, to the 18-year-old kid drafted into the NBA, and now, a 30-year-old man with three kids and a beautiful wife.”

Today, LeBron is the greatest basketball player and a successful businessman. The game is his greatest passion, but it’s not the only thing LeBron is focused on. LeBron is doing his best to support the community, and hopefully, other athletes will follow his example. The king of basketball did something incredible for his hometown, and those people will never forget his contribution to the community.
