Report: Tom Brady Laser Attack Suspect Pleads Guilty In Court

Dwyan Morgan hit Patriots quarterback Tom Brady with a green laser pointer during the AFC Championship game. The whole thing triggered an avalanche of reactions, and the 64-year-old pleaded guilty.

Morgan was cited for disturbing peace after he was accused of shining a laser pointer in Brady’s eyes in the fourth quarter of the game at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs fan was facing time behind bars for his offense, and his charge could get him a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

The judge decided to fine him with $500, and Morgan is now free t go.

If you ask Morgan, he will say it was the booze. However, Kansas won’t allow a similar mistake.

“There’s a lot of pride in Kansas City, and we and our fans thought, ‘You don’t do that here,’” a Chiefs official said.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft made a statement right after the incident, and condemned the attack.

“It does not happen when you come to Foxboro,” Kraft said. “I just hear the word ‘laser’ and I think of Tommy and his eyes. And that last drive, we had three third-down-and-10s, and he was laser focused. So, whatever it was, I think it was a positive influence.”

Well, Morgan and his laser couldn’t stop Brady and his teammates from winning the game. Brady was well aware of the fact that it would be hard, but they won.

“The odds were stacked against us,” the quarterback said after game. “It hasn’t been that way for us in a while, and it certainly was this year. We started off so slow. Like I said, the last four games have been our best games. We ran it great in Buffalo. We threw it pretty well in the Jets [game]. We were really balanced. The defense was playing really well. We played great against the Chargers last week. This is a game offensively we did a good job. We had a couple of little screw ups but pretty good for the most part. Defensively, they hung on and played their butts off – shut them out in the first half, which was pretty spectacular. You are not going to shut this team out for four quarters, certainly not at home. It was a great team win.”
