Snoop Dogg Recruits Kawhi To Lakers In Video

Kawhi Leonard is a free agent for five days now, and he hasn’t made a decision regarding his free agency. He’s been receiving offers from official and unofficial representatives. Snoop Dogg is one of them.

Sources reveal that Leonard had completed his free agency meetings with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. He is also scheduled to have a meeting with the Toronto Raptors as reported by ESPN’s Jordan Schultz.

“Kawhi Leonard has completed both his meetings with the Lakers and Clippers, a league source tells ESPN. He is also meeting with the Raptors today. The rest of the basketball world awaits Leonard’s decision…”

Snoop Dogg made a video and used it to recruit Leonard to join the Lakers.

“Kawhi, Kawhi tell me that you’ll be a Laker.”

Snoop Dogg isn’t the only musician to recruit Leonard. Drake did the same thing, and we know that he is one of the greatest Raptors fans in the world. He’s been pushing for Leonard to stay with the team in private as well. The Clippers don’t have a celebrity to rely on. Well, Leonard is a quiet player and he may not like the public bid thing.

Chris Broussard confirmed Drake’s role in the negotiations.

“Kawhi Update: Raptors had strong meeting yesterday. Drake heavily involved. Talked of having Kawhi involved w/his OVO record label. Kawhi in deep soul searching. Wants Lakers but wants to make sure Big 3 will fit/work. Clippers out. It’s btwn Lakers & Raptors. Very close.”

Marc Stein of the New York Times reported that the Lakers are convinced they are in the lead following pitches from King James and Magic Johnson.

“The Lakers, as we’ve been saying for more than a week now, believe they are firmly in the lead largely through the recruiting efforts and assurances made on separate fronts from Magic Johnson and LeBron James.”

The Raptors are also confident about re-signing Leonard.

“The Raptors haven’t backed off one centimeter and Drake is said to be mounting his own recruiting campaign on top of whatever the freshly minted champions are doing to convince him to stay,” Stein added.
