Tom Brady and Drew Brees Ready To Battle It Out for NFL Record In 2019 Season

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is getting closer to the NFL record for career passing touchdowns. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is close, too. Both quarterback will probably surpass the current record in the 2019 season.

Peyton Manning holds the NFL record with 539 touchdowns. Brees is 19 off this number, and Brady is 22 away. They both have a chance to break Manning’s record.

Brady and Brees won’t see a drop in their performance as they still play at the highest level. The Patriots quarterback is getting better than ever, and Brees is excellent, too. Yes, everything points to the fact that Manning’s record will be broken later this year.

In 2018, the Saints quarterback finished the regular season with 32 touchdowns and completed 364 passes for 3,992 yards. Wide receiver Michael Thomas is there to help him bring this number up. Brees will definitely break the record.

Thomas went for his second straight season of having over 100 catches as he totalled 125 receptions for 1,405 yards last season.

If both players keep playing at this level in 2019, the receiver may take the single-season receptions record that’s held by Marvin Harrison. Harrison has 143 catches in one year.

Let’s not write off Brady. He is the greatest of all time. If Brees has the chance to break Manning’s record, Brady has even greater chance to do that. Brady is pretty good in proving haters wrong. That’s exactly what he did last season. Everyone thought his performance has declined, but Brady was brilliant, and he helped the team win the sixth Lombardi Trophy. Max Kellerman said Brady would go down and “fall off the cliff,” but Brady got his sixth ring. simple as that.

Last season, Brady threw 29 touchdowns in the regular season and completed 375 passes for 4,355 yards.

Brees has the chance to break the record in 2019, but Brady plans to play until he is 45. We all know what that means.

If you still doubt Brady’s power, let’s give you a quick reminder.

Brady shared a photo of a radar gun reading 61mph. The photo was shared by Boston reporter Meredith Gorman, and she captioned it with Kellerman’s quote. “He’s gonna fall off a cliff.”
