Tom Brady Reportedly Throws To Rob Gronkowski In Workout At UCLA Monday

Rob Gronkowski decided to put an end to his pro football career, but people can’t stop talking about his return. Although Gronk is pretty sure about his decision, his moves say something else.

The former tight end and Tom Brady had a private workout at UCLA on Monday as confirmed by MassLive’s Andrew Callahan. Brady has already worked out at UCLA, but seeing Gronk by his side is actually a good thing. Is Gronk coming back?

He went on the Rich Eisen Show, and talked about his retirement.

“There’s definitely going to be times when you miss it and everything,” Gronkowski told Eisen. “I would always say that it’s still the offseason right now. I mean I can’t really say how I’m going to feel about it when the games start rolling around and everything. You know, I just felt like it was time. I feel really good right now and it was just definitely something I thought it was the right time and the right thing to do.”

Having some time off is actually a good thing.

“You want to know something? I never had an August off in my life. So, it’s gonna be a little different,” Gronkowski said. “That’s when it’s gonna start really seeing the change is when that comes around in August when I’m not in training camp; I might not know what to do with myself. “To have that load off your back, I mean I’ve been playing football for 15 years straight in a row of that grind. Just relaxing right now feels good.”

Meanwhile, Brady encouraged the tight end unit in Foxboro to focus on the game. He also explained the current situation on the field.

“Yeah, it’s the first time in a long time and he was such a great player for our team,” TB12 said of the offense without his favorite tight end. “I think like any season, things are different and we’re going to have to adjust differently and teams are going to play us differently without him. We’ve seen it even when he’s been on the team.

“The other guys are getting up to speed, Matt [LaCosse]’s done a good job, Ben [Watson]’s done a good job, Stephen Anderson’s done a good job. That’s got to be a position of strength even if it’s not one player but multiple players doing different roles. There were times in my career before that where we had similar approaches. No one’s going to make any excuses for our offense, we’re going to do everything we can to be the best we can be, score every time we touch the ball and the tight end position’s a big part of our offense and those guys are going to have to do a great job for us.”
