Tom Brady Shares Awesome Photos As Tribute Of Ending 19th Season With Patriots
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will enter his 20th NFL season, and decided to say ‘goodbye’ to his 19th season with the team. It was a rollercoaster, and Brady was hit with an unhealthy dose of criticism.
The quarterback shared some nice photos to mark the end of the previous season. Hopefully, the next season will end with a trophy. Brady is pretty excited about it. Well, he is the GOAT.
“As is the norm, Patriots quarterbacks and players recovering from injuries are among those who report for training camp earlier than the regular veteran reporting date (July 24),” ESPN’s Mike Reiss writes. “So that essentially means this is the final weekend for Brady to fill the tank with family/personal time before he begins the grind of his 20th season. That is how Brady has described his approach over the past two offseasons, which he believes allows him to be his best self in attacking all the demands of a football season. It worked well for him in 2018, and now with his 42nd birthday approaching Aug. 3, I can already envision his first motivational Instagram post/tweet as he makes his way to Gillette Stadium next week as part of the early reporting group. Those close to him describe him as being as excited as ever.”
Unfortunately, Max Kellerman won’t change his mind. He insists that Brady’s performance has gone down the hill.
“First of all, the eyeball test tells you he’s not the same,” he said recently. “Secondly, if you look into the numbers, it verifies it. Highest interception total. Lowest TD rate since 2013. Lowest passer rating since 2014, in a year of record passing.
“…. Two things have conspired to make it look like he hasn’t fallen off a cliff. One, he’s playing for the greatest coach who ever lived, and they’ve compensated with run game, etcetera. And two, they’ve changed the rules in the NFL where you can’t touch the quarterback.
“…. In big situations, he’s still Tom Brady. He still has the clutch gene, and all those things, for sure. But he is much more of a game manager now than he’s been at any point since he was a young guy.”
