D’Angelo Russell Reveals His First Impressions For Joining Steph Curry, Klay Thompson

Golden State Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell joined the team with the only goal to win games, and he will share the same court with Steph Curry, Draymond Green and the rest of the Warriors. But, he won’t play with Klay Thompson as he is expected to miss most of the season.

However, he really likes the idea of playing with the two Splash Brothers, meaning he is ready for 2020.

“I think it’s like a video game. You got three guys who can shoot the three at a high clip,” Russell told Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype. “I think that’s really exciting for the fans. Threes are obviously worth more than twos at the end of the day, so I think it gives us an opportunity to win. I’m so excited, and I think we’re going to bring a lot of excitement [to the fans].”

There’s been a growing speculation regarding Russell and the Warriors. Some say that the Warriors may trade Russell away. Well, none of this is true.

Warriors general manager Bob Myers decided to address the rumors.

“I know it’s been written and speculated, and that’s fine. That’s what everybody’s job is to do,” Myers said. “We didn’t sign him with the intention of just trading him. We haven’t even seen him play in our uniform yet, and a lot of people have us trading him. That’s not how we’re viewing it. Let’s just see what we have. Let’s see what he is. Let’s see how he fits.”

Russell signed a max contract with the Golden State this summer as part of a sign-and-trade that pushed him all the way to the Warriors. This deal brought Kevin Durant in Brooklyn, and he signed a deal with the Nets. The Warriors are his third team in five seasons.

Some say the Warriors dynasty is over. They lost Durant, and they also lost Andre Iguodala. Let’s see how will things work for the Warriors this season. Hopefully, they will handle the new situation and the new players that have joined the franchise. Durant is gone, but they have some high-quality players on the roster.
