Ex-NFL WR Gives Very Detailed Prediction About Gronk’s Future

Rob Gronkowski decided to call it career, but Nate Burleson made a prediction regarding his future. If you ask the former NFL wide receiver, he will say that Gronk will come back.

The CBS analyst offered a few details, too.

“He’s coming back,” Burleson told The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin this week. “By Week 6, he’s going to get the itch. In Week 7, (Tom) Brady’s going to say, ‘Want to play catch?’ And by Week 8, Rob will be like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming home.’ “I see it. I feel like Miss Cleo. That’s the future.”

How will Gronk come back when he lost a lot of weight? He skipped training camp, the preseason, and the beginning of the regular season. The retired tight end has a deep history of injuries, but that didn’t stop Burleson from making his prediction.

“He can be a skinny tight end, and I think that’s why he’s going to come back,” Burleson told Volin. “You know how much longer he can play? You remove him from that box, that chaos where he’s picking up blitzes and double-teams and chips by linebackers, now you can spread him out, put him one-on-one. He almost might be better because he’s going to be faster, and lighter, and quicker and more agile.”

Gronk has already made an announcement regarding his “next chapter.”

“At an invitation-only event held in New York City, Gronk will unveil his ‘next chapter,’” Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio wrote. “Given that both the email and an accompanying graphic use the term ‘chapter,’ there’s a chance Gronkowski has authored (or at least co-authored) another book.

“Which reminds me of his last book, It’s Good to be Gronk. Appearing on PFT Live as part of the radio tour for the new release in 2015, Gronk was eventually given a chance to tell people why they should buy the book.

“’That’s a good question,’ Gronk said. ‘I don’t know.’

“For now, we don’t know what he’ll be announcing on August 27. But the email announcing the looming announcement worked; it got me to write something about it.”
