Tom Brady Give Strong Response When Asked if He’ll Consider Coaching

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is playing his final seasons in the NFL. Is he? Well, that’s not the topic now. What will Brady do after his professional football career? Coaching in the NFL maybe?

“Hell no.” That’s what Brady has to say, and the information was confirmed by several sources.

“Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been having a good time with former teammate Mike Vrabel at this week’s joint practices with the Titans and that continued on Thursday.

“Brady presented Vrabel with a trophy engraved with the score of the Titans’ win over the Patriots last season and said after the session that it wouldn’t be appropriate for him to share what the Titans head coach said in response. Brady may get another chance to face Vrabel’s team before his playing days are done, but no one should expect them to square off from opposing sidelines.

“Brady was asked during Thursday’s session with reporters if he sees himself following in Vrabel’s footsteps once his career is over.

“’Oh hell no, I’m never coaching. Playing is enough for me,’ Brady said, via NBCSportsBoston.com.”

“Given his family, two decades of quarterback salaries, off-field business interests and the pressures involved in coaching, the answer is not a particularly surprising one but anyone who might have been wondering now has their answer.”

The Patriots and Titans had a lot of fun during their joint practice.

“It was fun,” Vrabel said after the practice Wednesday. “It brought back a lot of memories. Just to be able to sit out there and have him — they make a play and he (Brady) turns around and says, ‘Mikey you better cover that. You guys need to do this.’ I’m sure I had plenty to say too.”

Vrabel is amazed with Brady’s longevity.

“It’s something that’s very unusual in this league — the longevity and the success over a course of time,” Vrabel said. “But Tom’s very committed to football and to winning and to being very competitive and taking care of his body, continuing to find new ways to train. He knows exactly when he needs to start training. Maybe he doesn’t start as early. It’s a different routine that maybe he had when he was 26. It’s fun for us. Good for us to be able to compete against him.”
