Tom Brady Could Break Another NFL Record In 2019 Season

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is the best quarterback of his class. Moreover, he is the best quarterback of all times. Should we say that Brady is one of the most durable quarterbacks? TB12 started all 16 games every season since 2002 except for 2008 when he suffered a terrible injury in Week 1 and in 2016 when the NFL suspended him. If Brady starts all 16 of the Patriots regular-season games in 2019, he will break another NFL record.

Well, this doesn’t come as a surprise to us. Brady can do this and much more.

The oldest quarterbacks to start 10 or more games in a season since 1970 are Warren Moon, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Brees, Doug Flutie, and Josh McCown.

The Patriots quarterback turned 42 this offseason. If he starts all 16 games, then he may become the oldest position player to do this. He will be the eight non-specialist to start even one game after turning 42.

Two of the seven players to do this are Dough Flutie and Vinny Testaverde. Fluti led the Chargers to a big win over the Kansas City Chiefs in January 2005. In his last season, Flutie was Brady’s backup on the Patriots when he was 43, and TB12 was 28.

Testaverde’s final start was in 2007, and he was 44 at the time. He played for the Patriots in 2006 and said he has “been a big fan of Tom for a long time,” calling him a “super nice guy” and “great quarterback of course.”

Is age catching up to Brady? His numbers are maybe lower than some of his greatest seasons, but his general numbers are still better than the scores of other quarterbacks.

TB12 completed nearly 60% of his passes last season, and threw for 4,355 yards and 29 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. This was his highest number of picks since the 2013 season.  Most quarterbacks in the NFL would like to put this numbers on the chart at the age of 41.

In the 2019 season, Brady will play without Rob Gronkowski, and we believe he will cope with that.
