LeBron James Prepares For Hollywood Reboot With Anthony Davis

LeBron James’ first season with the Los Angeles Lakers was a complete failure, and they even missed the playoffs. Well, the Lakers front office managed to get Anthony Davis, and gave LeBron enough shooters and veterans to win a title. Landing Kawhi Leonard was impossible, and he joined the Clippers. This chase after Leonard restricted the Lakers’ options to add more talent to their roster, and now they have DeMarcus Cousins recovering after a terrible ACL tear. So, are the Lakers really ready for a Hollywood Reboot? You can bet they are.

Dwight Howard is on their list, and many NBA execs approve this move. Let’s not forget that the team has a new coaching staff, and that may change everything.

“For us, anything short of a championship is not success,” general manager Rob Pelinka said in mid-July.

The Lakers are now focusing on experience, and Kyle Kuzma is their only player under 25.

“There is no more complete basketball player in the game,” Pelinka said of Davis. “There is nothing he can’t do. He can shoot. He can make plays. He can defend 1 to 5. He can protect the rim. He can handle the ball. His dedication to his craft is unparalleled. To sit here next to him and think he’s going to be on our team and he’s going to be a pillar in this franchise for many years is just something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Losing Cousins to an injury may not be that bad, and the Lakers are fine with losing Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram. Davis is worth every risk.

The franchise may not have the deepest roster in the NBA, and their offense may be a bit shaken, but that’s just regular season problems. LeBron and Davis can play 40-plus minutes in the postseason, and everything that happens before that phase is important for those who compete for a spot on the court.

Andre Iguodala may join the team, and he would be of great help. We also have Kuzma telling ESPN’s OHM Youngmisuk that he wants to grow into the Lakers’ third star. So, good luck!
