Here’s How Many Wins Projection System Gives To Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are playing without Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala. Kevin Thompson is expected to miss a big portion of the regular season due to his torn ACL. The team made a few major changes, and experts have already made predictions regarding the 2019-20 season.

The Warriors dynasty may be over. That’s what some of the experts say. Is their time really over? Durant decided to join the Brooklyn Nets, and Thompson will be out for quite some time. ESPN’s real-plus minus suggests that the Warriors will finish the season closer to the No. 8 seed than the No.1 seed.

This is the least favorite scenario for the Warriors, and they keep denying the end of their dynasty.

The projection system predicts the Golden State to be the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. RPM debuted after the team’s first championship under head coach Steve Kerr, and it projects the Warriors to win at least 60 games. This is about to change.

The Warriors new squad is expected to have just 46.5 wins. That’s what the projection system suggests. The Warriors have won at last 57 games in each of Kerr’s five seasons as a coach.

So, this projection says Stephen Curry, D’Angelo Russell, Draymond Green and the rest of the guys to have less wins than the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggers, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz and LeBron’s Los Angeles Lakers. The Mavericks and Blazers are projected to round out the top eight seeds, and the Kings will probably miss the playoffs.

This would lead to a Warriors-Clippers game in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The two teams opened up the NBA playoffs last season. The Clippers pushed the Golden State to six games. However, the Clippers have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the roster now. We all know what that means.

Thompson will probably come back right on time for the playoffs.

This is more than an interesting projection, and the Warriors should be well aware of the changes they had recently. They can’t ignore the fact that Durant’s departure is a game-changing move.
