Julian Edelman’s Awesome Photo Celebrates Stephon Gilmore’s Excellence

Julian Edelman’s thumb injury is keeping him from participating in Patriots training camp, but apparently nothing can stop him from tweeting.

Considering he’s been benched from preseason drills due to a broken thumb, Edelman has been keeping himself busy by dishing out some fantastic photos in support of his teammates. In his latest post, the veteran wide receiver shared an interesting photo of Stephon Gilmore.

Check it out:

Edelman was probably inspired by the 1960s television show “Gilligan’s Island” to create a “Gilmore’s Island” version.

Gilmore was recently ranked 22nd in the NFL’s Top 100 players list – the highest of any cornerback in the league. During the 2018 season, the 28-year-old recorded two interceptions, 45 tackles and one sack while forcing two fumbles.

2019 should be another great season for Stephon Gilmore and New England Patriots fans do have some high expectations.

He recently spoke about training with Brady and Edelman at Patriots training camp. He said,

“It’s [playing against Brady] helped me out a lot. Just seeing his work ethic coming out here each and every day, making everybody better. I mean, he throws a great ball, so if you’re in the position to make a play on his ball, you can pretty much make a play on anybody’s ball. You know, we’re just trying to compete and get better each and every day just like everybody else.”

He delved into the topic, talking about the primary thing he gets out of practicing against an all-time great.

“Those guys throw pretty balls, so just trying to track the ball in the air as much as I can so I can come down with [it].”
