Report: LeBron James Files ‘Taco Tuesday’ Trademark

Lakers star LeBron James has turned Taco Tuesday into a tradition, and fans enjoyed checking out his Instagram stories. Taco Tuesday is an absolute hit for the James family, and they sure enjoy shouting the words at the top of their lungs. Well, the king may own this phrase because he filed to trademark it.

“LBJ Trademarks, LLC — one of James’ companies — filed to trademark “Taco Tuesday” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Aug. 15, records show

“The filing says the trademark will pertain to downloadable audio/visual works; advertising and marketing services provided by means of indirect methods of marketing communications, namely, social media; podcast services; and online entertainment services, namely, providing a website featuring non-downloadable videos, and social media posts in the field of sports, entertainment, current events and popular culture.”

LeBron has been all-in about his Taco Tuesdays, and his Instagram stories are always filled with smiling friends, teammates and family members. Anthony Davis was invited for one of the dinners.

“LeBron James leaves no potential business opportunity on the table,” Darren Rovell tweeted. “Over time, he has sought to own “Taco Tuesday.” He has now filed to trademark the phrase for social media posts and a show of that name.”

Josh Gerben was the first to discover it.

“A company owned by Lebron James, LBJ Trademarks LLC, has filed a trademark for TACO TUESDAY. The filing indicates Lebron intends to continue offering his popular ‘TACO TUESDAY’ posts on social media and launch a podcast under the name.”

LeBron is busy with his preparations for the upcoming 2018-19 season. The Los Angeles Lakers roster has changed completely, and the franchise acquired a bunch of new names. LeBron and a few others stayed on the roster from last season. Davis is part of the team, and he makes the perfect addition for LeBron.

The Lakers are fully packed with talent this season, and they won’t let anything slip down their hands like last season. There were so many injuries and so many mistakes. Hopefully, none of that will happen this season. But, first, let’s see what happens with this trademark thing.
