Report: Tom Brady Grants Five ‘Wishes’ Before Preseason Finale

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady didn’t play in the Patriots fourth preseason game against the New York Giants on Thursday night. However, he did get a few throws n before the crowd arrived at the stadium. Guess what… He didn’t throw to his normal receivers.

Brady’s receivers lined up, and called what routes they would run. The quarterback had to find their hands, and his aim was more than precise. This meant the world for the five young men.

Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island helped the group turn their dreams into reality. They met Brady. Ethan Alli, Joseph McCain, John Varney, Camden Bailey and Rithvik Kottapalli had their very special day with the New England Patriots and their favorite quarterback.

John and his loved ones came to Gillette Stadium from Washington, D.C., and he talked about his wish to meet TB12.

“Tom Brady has been my idol for as long as I can remember. He’s a hero to me,” John said. “His underdog beginnings, especially after he tore his ACL after he had the best season of his career. He came back stronger than ever. When I got diagnosed and then when I started to get better it was nice to think of him as inspiration.”

The afternoon was filled with laugh, joy and a lot of passes from Brady. They made a lot of selfies, too.

“It’s indescribable,” John said. “The closest word that come to mind is spectacular.”

The group also received tickets and field passes to the game. They also enjoyed a tour of the stadium and a chance to see the six trophies the Patriots won.

“This has been the best day of my life and not even close, like nothing comes even close whatsoever. Meeting Bob Kraft was amazing,” he said. “Meeting Tom Brady was amazing. Going to my second-ever Pats game is going to be amazing.”

The New England Patriots won three preseason games, and lost the preseason finale to the New York Giants. Well, that doesn’t mean a thing because the big players didn’t play, and there were a few injured players on the sidelines.
