Richard Jefferson Says LeBron James Will ‘Destroy as Many People as Possible’ Next Season
LeBron James missed the playoffs, and that’s not something he does on a regular basis. It’s not his style. The king provided an interesting off-season story, but LeBron warned doubters that “ether coming soon.” LeBron’s former teammate, Richard Jefferson, has something to say about this.
Jefferson appeared on ESPN’s Get Up, and talked about the upcoming season.
“LeBron James will be the best player in basketball again,” he said. “Now, will he be the LeBron James from ’08, chasing down blocks–no. But he is going to do so many different things. And with Kyle Kuzma and Anthony Davis on his team, he’s going to be able to be that dominant guy again.”
Jefferson claims that the disrespect LeBron has been receiving from media members will fuel him to go on a revenge tour. We all know what that means.
“I think he understands the disrespect. He’s felt it over the course of his career at different levels. Now, it’s you’re old, you had your first injury. Now you’re not that guy anymore,” Jefferson added. “But I think really and truly, he’s more focused on proving to people that basketball is the most important thing to him. And the only way to do that is to go and destroy as many people as possible.”
He was on the Cleveland Cavaliers when LeBron brought the team its first title after making a historic 3-1 comeback over the Golden State Warriors. For the first time in 15 minutes, LeBron had extra time to work on his body and rehab. This was just enough for him. Add it to the motivation critics give him… Let’s go to the finals!
Things look really good for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. They have Anthony Davis, and LeBron is fully recovered. The team strengthened the roster with a bunch of talented players, and they have a really good chance to win the championship this season. Let’s see what happens in 2019. Will LeBron and Davis do magic on the floor? I bet they will. Everyone knows that. It’s time for a change, and the Lakers will make the biggest change in the league.
