Skip Bayless Gushes Over Tom Brady, Shannon Sharpe Replay With Roast

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is in the middle of almost every NFL discussion these days, and Skip Bayless and Shannon Share got into a thing about it. Again.

In the Patriots home opener against the Carolina Panthers, Brady went for a first down against the team, and helped to set up the Pats’ only touchdown scoring drive of the night.

Brady keeps telling fans and doubters that he worked on his speed, and he even managed to beat his college 40-yard dash.

Bayless supports the Patriots quarterback, and discussed Brady’s four-yard run on “Undisputed.”

“I saw on that play … he looked a little quicker than I’ve ever seen him. Did you see him feint and go? He gave it a little head fake right and cut left. For Tom Brady that’s some quickness, that’s different,” Bayless said. “He’s upgraded the quickness. Again, remember where he was coming from. … He was the slowest, now he got a little less slow, right?”

Sharpe used the occasion to roast TB12.

“Skip, Tom Brady increasing his speed is like an elephant losing 50 pounds. When you weigh six tons, does anybody notice when you that slow?” he said.

This is a usual conversation between these two. But, that doesn’t change the fact that Bayless disapproves Bill Belichick’s plans with Stidham.

“Ho-hum Tom Brady looked as sensational as ever… But my more important takeaway is that Bill Belichick is fast-tracking Jarrett Stidham to replace Tom Brady, and he would like to do it sooner than later.”

That’s not all.

“Interesting that Belichick replaced Brady not with backup Brian Hoyer – but with rookie Jarrett Stidham,” he wrote on Twitter. “Belichick obviously wants to replace Brady sooner than later – now he has his next Next Brady. So wrong. So jealous. So Bill.”

This isn’t the first time Bayless stands in defense of his the GOAT. He has done that in multiple occasions.

“Patrick Mahomes is just not better than Tom Brady right here, right now,” Bayless said. “We saw one year — one starting year — in which the NFL did not have the offseason to try to figure out what are the kid’s weaknesses, right?

“I’m sorry, (Brady’s) just better. He’s smarter, he’s more efficient, he’s a better leader and his team beat Mahomes’ team (in the 2018 regular season and the AFC Championship Game). I’m sorry, he beat him twice.”
