‘Space Jam 2’ Has a Basketball Stunt Double For LeBron James

Space Jam 2 is a big deal, and LeBron James is the star of the show. The Lakers star got himself a basketball stunt double.

Game Shakers Actor Sheldon Bailey was given a new role in LeBron’s Space Jam 2, and he will be the king’s double. The Nickelodeon star and professional athlete sees this as a great opportunity.

Sheldon Bailey, star of Nickelodeon’s comedy series Game Shakers, has been cast in Warner Bros.’ long-awaited sequel, Space Jam 2. Fans know Bailey for his role as Ruthless, the larger-than-life sidekick of rap superstar Double G (Kel Mitchell) on Game Shakers, which enjoyed a successful three-season run from 2015-2019. In addition to his acting roles, Bailey is also a professional basketball player and one of Hollywood’s most successful body doubles. He is serving as LeBron James’ basketball double in the live-action/animated comedy, scheduled for theatrical release in 2021.

“Prior to his Game Shakers role, Bailey had a recurring role on season 4 of Showtime’s critically acclaimed drama Shameless. He also guest-starred on Castle, NCIS, The Mindy Project, The Nick Kroll Show and Amazon Studios’ Hand of God. Most recently, Bailey appeared in the indie feature Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town. The film was written and directed by Christian Paperniak, best known as the director of NBA2K. Bailey has starred in the NBA2K franchise for over three years. He played the role of ATM, a main character in NBA 2K19 and 2K18, and was the lead My Player in NBA 2K15.”

Why does LeBron need Bailey to be his body double? It’s about liability. Both from a top-billed actor perspective and from a professional player perspective, LeBron’s contracts don’t allow him to play some actions during productions.

It’s really interesting to know that the big LeBron needs an athlete to play his role when it comes to making a basketball movie. Will Bugs Bunny be given a stunt double of his own? Well, he can handle it all, and LeBron is here to help him. The rabbit has already expressed his full support for LeBron and everything he has done for him. Game on, guys!
