Ben Roethlisberger Had Priceless Reaction To Antonio Brown Teaming Up With Patriots

Antonio Brown left the Pittsburgh Steelers to join the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders sent him straight to New England. But, the Steelers never wanted him to become a Patriot. Ben Roethlisberger reacted to Brown’s new deal, and let’s just say that he doesn’t like it.

When asked about his thoughts on Brown and the Patriots, he said, Whatever.”

According to Charles Robinson from Yahoo Sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t want Brown to become a Patriot. They will definitely play the Patriots in the playoffs, and playing against Brown is the last thing they need.

“According to a source familiar with New England’s interest in Brown last spring – including the talks between the Steelers and Patriots – it came down to this: Pittsburgh didn’t want Brown in New England. The Steelers knew they’d likely have to grapple with the Patriots in the 2019 playoff picture. Beyond that, there was already bitter feelings born out of competition between the two teams (not to mention the whole LeGarrette Blount fiasco in 2014). Sending Brown into the arms of the Patriots and Bill Belichick would not only be costly to Pittsburgh’s own playoff chances, it would border on humiliating. Especially if the deal wasn’t for a significant package in return. It would mean waving the white flag to all the parties the Steelers simply didn’t want to surrender to. From Brown to Bill Belichick to Tom Brady.

“’Pittsburgh just wasn’t going to do it,’ said a source familiar with the Patriots’ pursuit of Brown. ‘It was never going to happen. No matter what

thought or whoever else, there was no way the Steelers were sending him to New England.’”

Brown was pretty excited about the Patriots’ win over the Steelers.

“Excited to get to work lets go tonight #PatNation #Honor#MovinAndBoomin,” Brown wrote on Instagram as the Patriots were about to defeat the Steelers.

Brown had to force the Raiders to release him.

“Antonio Brown sought advice from social media consultants on how he could accelerate his release from the Raiders, [according] to @mortreport,” ESPN tweeted.

Well, the Patriots wanted him, and Brady even offered his home.

“Al Michaels said before Sunday night’s Patriots-Steelers game that Robert Kraft let Brady know they were going to get Brown. Brady texted Kraft saying he was 100 percent in. Then he texted Kraft saying he as 1000 percent in. Then he texted again saying he’s 1 million percent in.

“Brady has also offered to have Brown stay with him while the WR figures out where he’s going to live.”
