Antonio Brown Launches Attack On Patriots’ Owner Robert Kraft

The New England Patriots released superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown Friday. The wide receiver thanked the team for the opportunity he was given. But, it looks like he is holding a grudge against Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Brown decided to bring out Kraft’s scandal with the prostitution ring, and let’s just say it wasn’t the smartest move from a player who is about to get suspended. To make his point, Brown shared a photo of him and his trainer.

“Kraft got caught in the parlor AB speculations fired different strokes different folks clearly,” the wide receiver tweeted.

“Antonio Brown was released today by the New England Patriots, and is currently an unrestricted free agent,” the NFL’s statement read. “Our office is presently investigating multiple allegations, some of which are subject of pending litigation. We have as yet made no findings regarding these issues. The investigation is ongoing and will be pursued vigorously and expeditiously. As long as Mr. Brown is a free agent, placement on the Commissioner’s exempt list is not appropriate. If he is signed by a club, such placement may be appropriate at any time depending of the investigation. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, he may also be subject to discipline if the investigation finds that h has violated the law or league policies.”

The Patriots released Brown at a specific point of the week: two days prior to the game.

“Robert Kraft was not in the building yesterday, he’s somebody who empowers his football people, but he also holds them accountable,” Tom Pelissero said Saturday on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.” “Belichick and Kraft spoke after practice yesterday, at the point the key question from Kraft was, ‘how can you promise me that this is not going to happen again?’ Well, Belichick can’t say that he can promise it will not happen again. Collaboratively, they decided it was the best thing for the Patriots to move on.”

According to sources, some Patriots players weren’t happy with the release of Brown.

“The decision to release Brown was led by owner Robert Kraft, sources say, sparked by the text messages that came to light Friday and by the thought that the end was not near. Several players privately voiced their displeasure that the move was made, as Brown had made a positive impression on teammates in a short time. He did things in practice no one else could do.”
