Bernie Sanders Says He’d Pick LeBron Instead Of Jordan In GOAT Debate

There’s an ongoing GOAT debate, and many people say that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan. Vermont Senator and Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders is one of them.

Sanders appeared on “The Kyle Kulinski Show,” and said LeBron is the GOAT.

When asked if his choice is linked to their similar views regarding the policy, Sanders said “yes.”

“Well actually, yes, I think LeBron has been willing to do what a lot of athletes are not and get involved in the political process, put money into education, and I respect that,” he responded.

“Everyone is California- call your politicians and tell them to support SB 206! This law is a GAME CHANGER. College athletes can responsibly get paid for what they do and the billions they create,” LeBron wrote on Twitter earlier this month.

Sanders like that and retweeted his thought.

“College athletes are workers. Pay them.”

Although LeBron and Jordan are on different side of the GOAT debate, the Lakers star respects his idol. Jordan congratulated LeBron when he passed him on the all-time scoring list with his 32,293rd point.

“I want to congratulate LeBron on achieving another great milestone during his amazing career,” the basketball legend said.

LeBron appreciated that, and wrote an emotional message for the Bulls legend.

“THANK YOU M.J!! Still tripping about last night. Couldn’t have in a trillion years thought that would be possible especially knowing where I come from and what I watch him do every single night! Doesn’t make sense to me to be honest. Man it’s CRAZY!! I know you guys think I’m tripping but if you knew me and my friends growing up you’d understand. Beyond blessed and appreciative of all the congrats from family, friends, colleagues, strangers, haters, etc etc!! For the ones who been on the journey from Day 1 and I mean Day 1 I thank you even more!! Love” LeBron wrote on Instagram.

LeBron is really proud of himself. He may be the GOAT, but he will never forget his beginnings and the struggle that brought him this far in life.“A lot of stuff that I have done in my career, this ranks right up there at the top with winning a championship,” LeBron said. “For a kid from Akron, Ohio, that needed inspiration and needed some type of positive influence, MJ was that guy for me. I watched him from afar, wanted to be like MJ, wanted to shoot fadeaways like MJ, wanted to stick my tongue out on dunks like MJ, wanted to wear my sneakers like MJ. I wanted kids to look up to me at some point like MJ.”
