Grizzlies’ Andre Iguodala Could Rejoin Good Friend Stephen Curry And The GSW

Andre Iguodala was sent to the Memphis Grizzlies, but there’s a huge possibility that he rejoins the Golden State Warriors. Iguodala hasn’t played a single game with his new team, and the Warriors are already working on a possibility to bring him back. The information was confirmed by several sources.

Chris Herrington of the Daily Memphian wrote about Iguodala’s role in Memphis, adding that he won’t report to training camp until his situation is solved.

“Andre Iguodala will not attend Grizzlies’ Media Day on Monday nor report to the team’s training camp under an arrangement reached between the two sides, according to team and league sources.

“The team agreed the veteran can continue private workouts at a location of his choosing while Memphis pursues trades involving the former Golden State Warrior and NBA Finals MVP.

“There is a mutual understanding, per sources, that the situation may not reach a resolution until well into the season.”

Will Stephen Curry miss his former teammate in training camp?

“I honestly haven’t felt it,” he said. “Yet. We haven’t been in camp. Monday or Tuesday will be a real shell-shock in terms of his presence being missed and how much he’s meant to our team. I’ve played golf with him three times over the summer. We’ll feel it.”

Curry is actually happy with his new group. Last month, he stopped by trainer Patrick Turner’s Unlimited Potential in Burlingame for a late-night pickup run that had three of the young players: Jordan Poole, Omari Spellman and Eric Paschall. That session gave Curry something to think about.

“I just like the excitement,” he said. “It’s a brand-new situation, opportunity for every single one of them, all the way down the line. So, camp will be fun. It will be a different vibe in terms of building chemistry, building fundamentals, and guys just competing and battling and earning their spot on the floor.

“All of that is exciting. I know we have a lot of promise, a lot of guys that can play huge roles for us, and they’re going to have to.”

Well, let’s see what happens with Iguodala and the Warriors.
