Kyle Van Noy Recalls Message From Patriots Coaches After Defense’s Hot Start

The New England Patriots have a brilliant defense, and it’s actually impossible for them to improve. They had a really good start of the season, and haven’t allowed a touchdown. The Patriots have allowed just one field goal and rank first. What do Patriots coaches think about this? Kyle Van Noy knows the answer.
“They’ve been really complimentary of us but at the same time they’re always going to coach us hard,” the linebacker said Thursday. “We know we can get better and we’re going to do everything in our power to do that each and every week. But at the same time, we’re having fun. We’re enjoying these moments together, and we’re going to continue to work hard and play Patriot football.”
Van Noy arrived in New England in 2016 at midseason. Statistics confirms that this is the best defense he has ever played on in New England. Is this the most complimentary he has seen the Patriots coaches since joining the team?

“No, I mean, I think any time — how can you — you can’t really hate too much,” Van Noy said. “Of course, they’re going to give compliments, but at the same time, if you mess up, they’re going to hate on you for that. It’s just staying humble and staying aggressive. I think we have the right group to do it. It’s still September. It’s still early. We know there’s a lot of football left. A lot of change is going to happen. We just have to keep our foot on the gas.”

New England has a road game in Buffalo on Sunday. This will be the greatest test for the Patriots’ defense so far in the season. If they keep going at this pace, they won’t have any problem defeating the Bills.
Head coach Bill Belichick talked to Bills reporters, and praised the opponents and their fanbase. Their game is aggressive and so are the fans. It will be nice to see the Patriots play against the Bills. Julian Edelman is healthy, and James White is back in the fold. It’s a big day for the Patriots nation. Game on, Pats!
