Kyrie Irving On Playing With LeBron… ‘Every Road Game is Like A Home Game’

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were once part of the same team. They played really well in Cleveland, and Irving signed with the Brooklyn Nets. He will play alongside Kevin Durant.

In one of his interviews on the Bill Simmons podcast, he talked about the old times and his game with LeBron.

LeBron took the Cavaliers to a whole different level. He left the team, and the Cavaliers lost their fans and strength. LeBron is a Laker now, and he will enter his second year with the team.

“You’re being tested on the biggest stage in front of everyone. All the time. I went from being in Cleveland having half the fans show up, to now LeBron comes back every night it’s packed, every road game is like a home game, it’s championship or you fail.”

Chris Broussard once talked about the similarities between Irving and LeBron , especially in his leadership tactics. He talked on FS1’s “Undisputed” about the similarities, and didn’t miss the chance to say that Irving is following LeBron’s footsteps.

“Kyrie really is following in LeBron James’ footsteps. During the regular season, there was drama — a lot of it created by him. Come postseason, flip a switch, everything is good and now they’re rolling. He really seems to be following in LeBron’s footsteps.”

Irving is one of the many athletes who supported LeBron when the Lakers missed the playoffs. LeBron isn’t someone who misses a big game, but it happened.

“I feel for him,” Irving said after Boston’s win at Staples Center. “Obviously just missing a lot of time, as well as Brandon Ingram. But Bron as always been a championship contender. An he’s such a great player, such a great teammate. When you’re not eligible to qualify for the playoffs, it’s hard, I can only imagine. Like I said, I feel for him. I feel for him. I really do. I feel for him. I’m very empathetic towards it because how much he wanted to play during that time when he messed up his groin.”

Let’s see what happens this year. Will LeBron and Davis defeat Irving and Durant?
