LeBron James’ Former Teammate Admits He’s Rooting for Lakers

LeBron James has earned the support of many former and present teammates. Dwyane Wade is one of them. LeBron and Wade led the Miami Heat to four NBA Finals appearances and won two of them.

Wade is retired now, and lives in Los Angeles. His son pays on the same court as LeBron’s son. Wade is really excited about the sport in Los Angeles, referring to LeBron and the Lakers.

You’re definitely going to see me out there,” Wade told Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times. “I’ll be there early to work out with LeBron before the game starts. I just want to stay around it and be as involved as I can.”

Seeing his son play with Bronny is “crazy.”

“It’s crazy,” Wade said. “It’s something we never even talked about. Even when we were together in Miami, they didn’t go to the same school. At this time in both of their high school lives, to be able to put them together to hopefully do something special this year at Sierra Canyon is great. They also have two other great young players in Ziaire Williams and Brandon Boston. We’re really excited about this season. It’s going to be fun.”

Today, they live in the same city. Their kids may play on the same team.

“It really boiled down to being in the same city,” Wade said. “LeBron knew we were going to move here when I was done playing, and he obviously moved here a year before us when he decided to come to the Lakers. So we went through the same decisions they had gone through. What school was the best school for our kids? Bronny was at Crossroads, and we definitely thought about Crossroads as well, but Sierra Canyon is obviously a powerhouse school after winning the last two state championships. So for us, it was a great basketball school as well as a great school for academics. That was the best school for both of them.”

LeBron is currently spreading his positive energy. I mean, the man has a building named after him.

“Man this is so surreal! When I got the call this was happening I couldn’t believe it! I was literally shedding tears. You guys know where I come from but if you don’t I come from the inner city projects, single mother, only child, and statistics would suggest I would never EVER make it out let alone be alive still to tell you about it. Now I’ll have my own building at the Nike Head World Quarter where my family and I legacy will live on forever. The home of the Advance Innovation team and new state of the art Nike Sports Research Lab! Everything will get made and lab tested in my building! Like WHAT?!?!? THIS IS BEYOND CRAZY‼️ I wanna thank Nike once again for taking a chance on a 18 year old kid from Akron, OH. I’m proud to be #SwooshLifeForLife
