Patrick Beverley Allegedly Went To LeBron James After Hearing Of Clippers Moves

The Los Angeles Clippers are growing really big this season. They were the only team that attracted Kawhi Leonard’s attention, and the superstar agreed to sign a deal with the team. That’s not all. The Clippers traded half of their young players to get Paul George on the roster. This was one of the biggest stories this offseason, and ESPN’s Brian Windhorst shared an interesting story about the signings, and it evolves around Clippers guard Patrick Beverly.

According to Windhorst, Beverley went straight to LeBron James to tell him about the big news. He found the right moment to spill the news about the massive transactions. There were several groups of NBA players in private dining rooms at a restaurant in Las Vegas during the summer league. Paul George was in one room, and LeBron was in another. After hearing the big news about Leonard, Beverly walked into several rooms to brag about the info. He didn’t miss LeBron’s room.

“And so the deal actually gets done. [Adrian Wojnarowski reports] that Kawhi has not only agreed to sign with the Clippers, but the Clippers are trading half their future for Paul George, it’s a stunning development. And it all goes down while those players are at the same restaurant in various private rooms.

“The story that I heard was that Patrick was making a beeline down the hallway of private rooms — sticking his head into all the rooms gloating about the Clippers’ giant haul — including into LeBron’s room.”

Well, we aren’t really surprisd, becase that’s how Beverley rolls. He likes to get into people’s faces on the floor, and gloating about his new teammate fits his style.

The Lakrs and Clippers play in Los Angeles, and this adds a lot to the narrative. Let’s not forget that LeBron and his team tried to land Leonard, but he decided to go with the Clippers.

The Lakers are considered the “golden child” of Los Angeles, but the Clippers have gained a lot of success in the past decade.

However, this doesn’t change the fact that the Lakers are the most storied team in the league.
