Photos: LeBron Reveals The Nike LeBron 17 ‘2K’

Lakers star LeBron James gave us the first look at the Nike LeBron 17 signature shoe. The shoe has Nike’s Flyknit, a brand new cushioning unit and the visible heel Air. Jason Petrie signed the design, and these come in all-purple coloring.

The “2K” edition has the gaming team’s iconography on the midfoot of the tongue. The leweled LeBron crown logo is put front and center above the lion’s head.

The new piece is just a confirmation of the successful collaboration between LeBron and Nike.

Nike vice president of innovation Tinker Hatfield said LeBron’s decision to ink a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers will provide great surprise for everyone. That’s exactly what happened.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Hatfield discussed the goals Nike has on the heels of LeBron’s departure from Cleveland last summer. They have done some really great things until now, and we are looking forward to other great shoes.

“I think we’re all excited about the fact that LeBron is really still interested in winning more championships. He’s coming to LA to do that. We’re all excited to participate. If we can help him do that by, first of all, designing a product that helps him play at his highest level, that’s job one. Job two, of course, is how can we leverage his personality moving to LA and kind of build a nice story around that. And then, of course, from that, style can be unique and interesting and it can be what I would call a groundbreaking kind of product.”

LeBron has been receiving love and support from his closest friends and family members. He is determined to play big, and big games require big shoes.

“It’s a fantastic deal,” his partner Maverick Carter told GQ about the deal. “Nike feels great about the deal. That’s the most important thing. As great as I feel, as great as LeBron feels—Nike feels fantastic about it. It’s the largest deal in the history of the company. Their hope is he makes even more. And our hope is that, too, obviously.”LeBron is preparing for the upcoming season, and we will definitely see him wearing these shoes.
