Tom Brady Wishes TB12 Sports Happy 6th Birthday On Twitter

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady celebrated his birthday in August, and that’s not the only birthday he is celebrating. The six-time Super Bowl champion plays his best football thanks to the “TB12 Method” and TB12 Sports.

TB12 Sports turned six on Sunday, and the quarterback sent a happy birthday on Sunday.

“Happy Birthday @TB12sports! I know what I’m wearing under the pads all season!” he wrote on Twitter.

In his 2017 book, Brady detailed The TB12 Method. It’s all about the diet and strict workout regimen.

“The regimen I follow is a mix of Eastern and Western philosophies. Some of these principles have been around for thousands of years. My nutritional regimen may seem restrictive to some people, but to me it feels unnatural to eat any other way,” Brady wrote in his book. “Many people have conditioned their bodies to a nutritional regiment made up of lots of white or pale-looking foods —french fries, potato chips, white bread, chicken nuggets—that don’t exist in nature.”

What does Brady eat?

“The Tom Brady Diet blends the principles of the alkaline, Mediterranean, and anti-inflammatory diets and emphasizes organic, locally grown, seasonal, and minimally processed foods.

“About 80% of this diet consists of organically grown fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes. The remaining 20% comes from grass-fed, organic, antibiotic- and hormone-free lean meats and wild-caught fish or seafood.

“The Tom Brady diet offers an extensive list of foods to avoid or limit, as they’re deemed acidifying or pro-inflammatory. These include dairy, nightshade vegetables, most oils, as well as soy-, GMO-, or gluten-containing foods.

“Added sugars, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, caffeine, monosodium glutamate (MSG), alcohol, and iodized salt, as well as any foods containing them, should also be avoided.”

But, there’s no room for panic.

“I have a friend who freaks out if it’s not the most organic this or that, and I’m like, ‘That stress is going to harm you way more than eating that chip is,'” he explained.

Cheat meals? Of course!

“If I’m craving bacon, I have a piece. Same with pizza. You should never restrict what you really want. We’re humans, here for one life,” the quarterback told Men’s Health. “What’s changed as I’ve gotten older is now if I want pizza, I want the best pizza. I don’t eat a slice that tastes like shit and then wonder, ‘Why am I eating shit pizza?'”
