Watch: Antonio Brown’s First Catch As A Patriot

Antonio Brown made his way to Miami, and he is definitely playing against the Dolphins. The NFL’s best wide receiver fits really well in the Patriots’ offense. Brown made his debut Sunday, and let’s be honest, he is Tom Brady’s favorite target. Brady showed that in the opening drive against the Dolphins. Brown had the first catch, and it ended with a touchdown from Sony Michel.

Brown had three catches for 36 yards, and it was great to see him perform at high level. His first catch wearing a Patriots uniform happened on TB12’s first pass of the contest. The quarterback found a new target for 18 yards. Brady found the newly acquired receiver for a 10-yard gain two plays later. This was followed by an 8-yard connection two plays after that.

Julian Edelman was right. Coach Belichick knows his job perfectly.

“Coach is going to do what is best for the team, what he feels is best for the team,” he said. “Adding Antonio, he feels that’s best for our team. Quite frankly, he’s a a really good football player. He works his tail off. He practiced this week. I think with a player like him, a player of his caliber, he’s going to raise the bar and raise the intensity of practice because he’s so good for other guys to see. He’s a really good football player and I look forward to playing with him.

“It’s not the first time we’ve added someone after the first week,” Edelman explained. “It’s not the last time we’ll do it, either.”

Edelman isn’t the only Patriot to be happy about Brown.

“Just like a lot of new players, trying to get up to speed and so forth,” Tom Brady said. “There’s a lot to learn. Coming into this time of year, I’d say is challenging. But that’s just the situation. It happens a lot throughout the NFL. Different players change teams and so forth. That’s happened over the years, so just trying to do the best we can do.”

Well, this will be a great game. Let’s go, Patriots! Let’s go, Brown!
