Watch: Brandon Bolden Score 4-Yard Touchdown, Puts Pats On The Board First

The New England Patriots are playing the Buffalo Bills, and it looks like they had a good start of the game. The players turned Devin McCourty’s interception into six points. Quarterback Tom Brady connected with James White twice on third down. This includes a wheel route down the right sideline that picked up 26 yards. This gave Brandon Bolden a chance to finish the play they started.

Bolden put the Patriots first on the score board with his 4-yard touchdown.

The Patriots did a really good job to bring Bolden back in the fold.

I was very surprised,” he said of the team’s interest in signing him this offseason. “It was actually funny, the day before, my wife asked me, she was like, ‘Would you want to go back?’ And I was like, ‘I mean, it would be easy. I know the system. I know everybody there. Even with the coaches leaving, I still know everybody there.’ And sure enough, the next day, I got a phone call, so it was great. I’m happy to be back, excited to get back to work. I missed this place. It’s like home.

“Like I said, it was a lot easier. Even the stint in Miami, I had a great time, but it was kind of hard because it was a different system, new people. I had to learn the players, learn the coaches, learn the system. And here, I don’t have to do that. I mean, they might change a few players here and there and a couple new faces everywhere, but it’s not that hard. So it’s almost the same thing. It’s like you grew up in this hometown your entire life, I went off to college for a few years and now I’m back home and everything’s still the same where I left it. So it’s pretty good.”

Being part of the Miami Dolphins helped Bolden love the Patriots even more. He know everything about the Patriots and their game, so having him back is definitely a relief.

“The grass always isn’t greener on the other side,” he said. “You kind of step out, and you always hear stories of people coming here and [saying], ‘Yeah, we did this there and we did this.’ No, we do this all one way. And I had my mindset going down there that I was going to keep everything the same, and it was like — we clashed on a lot of things. We talked about a lot of things. But here, stuff works for a reason. And that’s why I said — I’m going to keep saying it — this is home. I can’t help it.”
