Watch: LeBron Gives Pointers To Bronny James On His First Official Game For Sierra Canyon

LeBron James has enough time for his family because the 2019 season will start in a month. His son, Bronny, had his first basketball game with the Sierra Canyon team. The proud dad was right by his side, and he even gave Bronny some advice.

Bronny is a son of the most talented basketball player on planet Earth. He has the best coach in the world, and LeBron can’t wait to see his son play the big game in the NBA. However, he still regrets putting his son in this condition. Being the son of LeBron James is really challenging. In an episode of The Shop, Jon Stewart asked LeBron:

“What do you say to your kid though, like living up to you being their dad. They’re playing the same sport that you played better than anyone else in the world has ever played it. How do you give them a peace of mind that they don’t have to be you?”

The king said, “I still regret giving my 14-year-old my name because of that. Like, when I was younger I didn’t have a dad. So my whole deal was, when I have a kid, not only is he going to be a junior, I’m gonna do everything that this man didn’t do. They’re going to experience things I didn’t experience. The only thing I can do is give them the blueprint and it’s up to them to take their own course whenever that time comes.”

LeBron also issued a warning for his son’s opponents. It was also a message for those who will play alongside Bronny.

“Expect a kid that will play for his teammates,” LeBron wrote. “Will work hard, pay his dues and when his number is called he’ll make mistakes like any kid but will be ready and coached very well. Someone who doesn’t care about rankings cause the only thing that matters is his team success.”

Will he take the floor with his son?

“He’s got a chance,” LeBron said while making his way to Quicken Loans Arena in March. “If he stays on this path he’s on, he’s got a chance. If … it seems like he can make it, we’ve got to [play together]. As soon as we do it, boom, you got it from here.”
