Watch: Tom Brady Throws Fireball To Edelman For Patriots 3th 3-Yard TD

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Julian Edelman connected for a third touchdown in the game against the New York Jets. This was Edelman’s second third-down conversion on the drive. He had a 15-yard reception on third-and-9 after a bad drop on the previous play.

Edelman keeps getting questions about his physical condition and the game of his teammates. In one of his interviews, he talked about Brady.

“He looks like Tom Brady,” Edelman said after Friday’s practice. “It’s a testament to how hard he works, not only during the season but in the offseason. How he takes care of himself. He looks great. You’d have to ask (offensive coordinator) Josh (McDaniels) more, but catching the ball from him, he looks like Tom Brady. I’m more focused on how I’m gonna look, but Tom looks good.”

Edelman missed some time due to his injury, but his preseason was good.

“It was awesome,” Edelman said. “Anytime you go out and you get to compete with your team and get hit, that’s what you look forward to. That was then, and now we’re looking forward to the Pittsburgh Steelers and seeing what they’re gonna do.

“We did have a good amount of practice reps. You also take mental reps. Nothing comes easy, and any time you have to go out there and perform, you definitely have to had prepared well, and I think that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Edelman sees less targets this season, but there are a few good reasons for that.

“I think it is everyone buying into the process of improvement,” Edelman said, via WEEI.com. “That is what September is about. It’s about going out and learning your team and improving your team through practice and games. When you have guys who are unselfish and really buy into that, the best stat is the win stat. That is what I am looking forward to and that is what I look forward to doing, is trying to play your best game on Sunday and collect wins.”

Any bad feelings? Of course not.

“Tom sees it all. He sees it is all. Even if he throws it somewhere else, he’s like, ‘How was it back there?’ I was like, ‘It was alright.’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, I know. I saw you.’ (laughter) He knows. Just have faith and trust in (Offensive Coordinator) Coach (Josh) McDaniels and him and (Head) Coach (Bill) Belichick. Our time will come. As long as we continue to work hard, we’ll get a chance to make a play.”
