Lakers Report Host Addresses Rumors On LeBron James Or Anthony Davis As Top Player

The Los Angeles Lakers are making headlines these days, and most of these headlines are actually supported by rumors. The 2019-20 season will almost start, and Los Angeles is a busy place at the moment.

The Lakers got Anthony Davis on the roster. The fanbase started talking about the best player on the roster. Is it LeBron James? Or is it Davis? Can LeBron help the team win a championship? Lakers Report host Hannah Kulik discussed these questions on Lakers Mailbag.

Dwight Howard was a nice addition to the Lakers roster this season. There’s a possibility that he plays center in Los Angeles. Javale McGee may have comment on that one. The starting point guard position has been a main topic since Davis’ arrival. Some said it will be LeBron. Will Alex Caruso take this position instead of LeBron?

She thinks that if healthy, Howard will take the center position later in the season. JaVale McGee will start of this position.

AD and LeBron have built a good relationship on the roster, and they do want to succeed and win the championship. LeBron is mentoring Davis, but Kulik says that Davis will actually be the Lakers number one option on offense, adding that they will run the offense through them.

Kulik adds that LeBron is the best player in the NBA, and AD will help you carry this function. Davis increases the chances LA has to win the championship. According to her, LeBron and Davis will join forces to win a championship.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel likes his team at the moment.

“The open man is the focal point, quite frankly. We have two offensive monsters, but it’s going to be about the open man. That’s what we have to accomplish. If we’re a team that doesn’t play for each other and doesn’t become a team-first team, we’re going to be limited even with those great offensive talents. We’re going to have the mindset that yes, we’re playing through those guys, but we’re going to attack to draw two and find the open man.”

“Getting them to play together and to come together quite frankly… not just to play together. But I love the way the team has been put together by Rob Pelinka. I really do. Obviously, it starts with the two pillars in Anthony and LeBron… just two of the game’s best. And then the surrounding parts… that’s what I’m equally as excited about.”
