Report: Anthony Davis Learns Results Of His MRI Following Injury

The regular NBA season has yet to start, and Lakers fans survived the first scare. Kyle Kuzma was the first to be sidelined due to the stress fracture in his foot. He suffered the injury while playing with Team USA in the offseason. Anthony Davis is the second player to suffer an injury. The star player left the preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets due to a sprained right thumb. The results of his MRI are out now.

The Lakers superstar had an MRI on his thumb Monday, and it’s clean. We don’t know how much time Davis will need to recover, but this is definitely good news for the Los Angeles Lakers. They can’t risk losing Davis after all the struggles they had to sign him. If his ligaments are fine, Davis won’t miss too much time.

Davis was injured in the first half of the game after swatting the ball. He stayed in the game for a while, but had to check out of the game and didn’t return. The superstar center finished the preseason game with six points on 2-for-7 shooting with three rebounds, two blocks and one steal in his 12 minutes on the floor.

The Lakers may force their superstar to miss some time, and some say that he may miss the remaining preseason games. We do hope to see him healthy for the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers. The first game is scheduled for Oct. 22, and the Lakers will get the chance to play against Kawhi Leonard after failing to sign him in the offseason.

LeBron James and the rest of the team plan to lead the offense through Davis, and these results come as a relief for the players. Frank Vogel is pretty confident about this year’s squad, and he has some really good plans for his “offensive monsters.”

Hopefully, LeBron and Davis will stay healthy throughout the season. That’s the only thing that can help the Lakers make the playoffs, and even win the big game. Is there any chance that they win the title this season? Impossible is nothing.
