Julian Edelman Shares Epic Throwback Photo Reminding Patriots Destroyed Jets 10 Years Ago

Julian Edelman has been playing with the New England Patriots for over a decade, and he knows that their next opponents are one of their biggest rivals. The New York Jets.

The Patriots receiver took to his Instagram account to share a throwback post prior to the Patriots’ game against the Jets on Monday Night Football. He shared a few old photos of Edelman and one of the Patriots’ win over the Jets in Week 3.

“Times change, rivalries don’t,” the caption read.

Edelman has been struggling with his nagging chest injury, but will play in that condition on Monday. He hasn’t missed any action, and the Patriots need him at the moment.

Josh Gordon will probably sit out the game against the Jets, and Tom Brady will need Edelman more than ever. He is expected to become Brady’s main target.

Brady has words of praise for Edelman, calling him the best receiver in the league.

“Well, for me, he’s a spectacular player,” the Patriots quarterback said in his weekly appearance on WEEI’s “Greg Hill Show.”  He’ll be in the Patriots Hall of Fame, and he could be a Pro Football Hall of Famer, too, at some point. What he’s done and what he’s accomplished is nothing short of spectacular. He’s a great teammate. He does all the dirty work. Not just his only spectacular performances — his ability to run routes, catch the ball, run after catch — but blocking, blocking for other guys. I think his day-to-day mentality really sets the tone for everybody.

“We put Julian in a situation to do all the toughest jobs, basically, and that’s what he relishes. And those things can’t go unnoticed, because when he’s not in there, you can see the difference it has on our offense. He does a lot of things that a lot of other players in the NFL can’t do, and he’s just a spectacular player.

“So that’s definitely a kind of a bogus vote, in my view, because he is a spectacular player — one of the greats in the NFL, no doubt.”

Let’s see what happens on Monday. Will the Patriots go 7-0?
